Christ's Real
Name
(extremely
incomplete)
The Hebrew name “Yeshua” (pronounced: yay-SHOO-a`) means “he will save”.
Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." (Emphasis added)
Without the KJV translation from “will” to the old-English “shall”, the reason that Mary was to name her son Yeshua would align perfectly with the meaning for the name Yeshua.
Jesus is simply a Greek name created from the original Aramaic name "Yeshua". It was transliterated, which by human logic, makes it the same name, but to a different language. "Jesus" wasn't a Hebrew name, although we read the Savior's name as such all throughout most Bibles.
(come back to this one if you're curious, I have most of the study, just haven't put it together yet)
